Posting: I am currently producing for an independent feature, 'Jarum Halus' which will commence shoot in mid of April. We are now calling for casting. Below are the details. "Jarum Halus", directed by Mark Tan, is an upcoming bi-lingual (Malay/English) independent feature-length film already confirmed for local cinematic release in September 2007 and planned for entry in major international film festivals thereafter. Casting is presently open for the following lead and supporting roles in the film: 1) 2 x Chinese male, Age 23-30 (dialogue in both English and Malay). 2) 2 x Malay male, Age 23-30 (dialogue in both English and Malay). 3) 2 x Malay female, Age 23-30 (dialogue in both English and Malay). 4) 1 x Caucasian/Pan-Asian female, Age 23-30 (dialogue in English only). Posting: Production Manager - indie film. It's an independent non-fiction film which will take 6 months of your life, beginning March 2007. Like most indie films, it doesn't pay well, but you'll learn a lot � about yourself and your art. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day shoot schedule, and all the paperwork that comes with it. You must be self-reliant, persistent in contacting people (fluent in Bahasa Malaysia), meticulous and organised. You'll also help out on shoots right into post-production. Open to any true-blooded Malaysian with own mode of transport.
