Posting: STUDIOVOXEL is currently looking for writers to be a part of our team. Studiovoxel is a rebel animation studio based in Ampang, KL that is embarking on production for a few animated TV sitcoms that we are developing. Our shows are written more for a young adult and adult audience, think Simpsons, southpark, futurama and adult swim... If you love cartoons, comedy and craziness, this is the gig for you. Animation is a fun, no holds barred medium that allows you to express yourself freely-anything goes. We are aiming for TV first, with the intention of branching out into feature length productions as well. Our core team of pioneer staff are a fresh and interesting bunch who are open and progressive. Please contact me at [expired] or [expired] or call me at [expired] or [expired] for more details. Rauf Fadzilla, Content development, Studiovoxel

Posting: 'By The River' is a 15-20 minutes short film on how two girls befriend each other by the river. The story explores sexuality and friendship, but mostly focuses on the nature-nature conflict of the two girls who are sixteen. In one scene, they will be 'singing' to an old song. They reconcile with their needs at the end of the story through a violent ending. I am looking for two girls in their late teens to their early twenties in this short film. As the acting in this film is rather demanding, I am looking for young actors with acting experience who can commit and take the art of acting seriously. I am also auditioning other casts, which do not have any dialogues, but they need to 'act' with their body language: 1) Father - late 20s to mid 30s, Chinese, decent looking but a lustful man. 2) Man - late 30s to early 40s, Chinese, office type. 3) Mother - late 20s to early 30s, Chinese, vain and vivacious. This is a non profit film aimed at bringing people with a passion for filmmaking and acting together, to immerse in a sweet yet tragic story. As this is an indie film, only food and transport will be provided. We are hoping to send this film to overseas film competitions. I sincerely hope to hear from anyone who might be interested. Any response will be deeply appreciated. Best Regards, Maisie Loh. E-mail: [expired]

Posting: Could you be the Derek or Furnetta that we're seeking for our short film - 'Employee of the Month'? Read the bios below and if you're the kind of actor who could play the part come to our audition at RUSHES NETWORK, Henderson Bld, 221 Henderson Rd, #02-03. Saturdays only 27 Aug & 3 Sep 2005 (12.00 - 6.00 pm).
1) Derek was born deep in heartlands of Singapore in Ang Mo Kio 30 maybe 40 plus years ago. He was the kind of kid who did not do well at school and dropped out early. Derek then bounced around from job to job. First working on the docks in Singapore, then in a hawker store then as a taxi driver then in various odd jobs. He never seems to be able to keep a job for too long. Derek has a bit of a worn out, tired look to him. Sometimes he can come across as quite fierce or standoffish but there's also another side to Derek that's very loveable and sweet. In short, he's a loveable rogue. His intentions are normally good, although things don't always turn out that well in the end.
2) Furnetta is 22. She used to be a trainee hairdresser in Tampines. But actually didn't end up graduating and getting her cert from the hairdressing school because she had a disagreement with the instructor. Furnetta later explained to her friends why she dropped out saying "what would that fag-ass instructor know about style anyway?I know what style is and I don't need some stupid course to explain it to me!" Furnetta spends her spare time driving around Singapore and parking with her boyfriend in his supped up Toyota Celica. Right now Furnetta is working night shifts at 7 Eleven just for the time being until she gets enough money for her new business venture. Furnetta plans on opening a nail salon that specializes in nails that actually have tiny electrodes in them that flash different colours when you move your hands. Email [expired] for full audition script.

Posting: I'm Kannan. Earlier, this year I did a short titled 'Chitappa'. I'm shooting my next short on 3 & 4 Sep 2005. I'm looking for 2 actresses: 1) Indian girl (age 23-25) - hardworking, the type who likes to advise others. 2) Indian girl (age 17) - cheerful, flirtatious. You don't have to be 17 to play the 17 year old girl role. The same goes to the other character too. U might be 30, but look as young as 17 :) Experience is not really needed. As usual, low-budget production. Supposedly, no payment, but, if the actress is in difficult financial situation I can definitely work-out something. Actually I am willing to pay, contact me first, then we can discuss. Thanks a lot. Cheers, Kannan Thiagarajan: [expired]
